You may find that when you start an application in your account, the name fields are locked or grayed out and can't be edited. This is because your name can't be edited within individual applications; if you need to make a change or correction to the name you entered for your ApplyWeb account, you'll need to do so from your account profile page:
https://applyweb.collegenet.com/account/profile/edit
This link will prompt you to log in, if you haven't already, and then it will take you directly into the Personal Info page of your account profile:
This page can be accessed either through the link above, or by clicking the "Change Name" button within any of your applications:
The section in your application for entering your legal name may look slightly different depending on which school's application you're filling out, but there will always be a "Change Name" button nearby for if you need to update your name.
Once you've reached the profile page, simply edit your name and click the "Update" button. This change will be applied to all in progress (i.e. unsubmitted) application forms. If you've already submitted your application, you will need to follow up with Admissions to have the name information updated in your application form.
If you use non-english characters for your name, new fields appear for you to fill out your name in English characters as well. Since some systems cannot read these characters, these additional fields help your applications flow correctly.
When these fields appear, please match them with your English names to the best of your abilities.
If you have trouble with any of the above steps for changing the name on your ApplyWeb account, please contact our help desk at help@applyweb.com or click Submit a request in the top right corner of the page.
