When you click the Submit the Request button in your form, ApplyWeb emails the recommendation request to each recommender. If your recommender isn't receiving the request, it is most often due to delivery settings in their email client.
Please Note: Recommenders with an institutional address (.edu or .org), the message needs to pass the institution's spam filter as well as the specific recipient's spam filter. If checking spam folders and updating their settings does not solve the issue, your recommender may need to seek assistance from their email administrator.
Ask your recommender to check their spam folders and then to whitelist emails from "collegenet.com" and "applyweb.com."
Please Note: Recommenders with institution email addresses may need to ask their email administrator to update their institution emails whitelist for them.
After they update their whitelist, you can re-send the link in a reminder using the Action menu for the recommender on your Activity Page.
If updating the whitelist doesn't work, ask your recommender to contact our support team directly, and we can manually send them the link they need to access the recommendation system.
Please Note: Make sure the recommender contacts us using the email you've entered for your request. ApplyWeb will use the email they contact us with to search for any pending recommendation requests.
Additionally, depending on the institution, you could try changing the recommender's email address to an alternate email. Edit your recommender's address using the Edit option in the Action menu on the Activity Page. Editing a recommender's email cancels the original request and issues a new request to the new email address when you save.
