How to Check The Status of Your Recommendations

Follow

You can check whether or not your online letters of recommendation have been submitted on your Activity page, as seen below:

Screenshot of an example Institution's recommendations on the Activity Page. In a white background box, on the top left is a Blue button with a white pencil on paper icon and white text that reads, work on form. Next to it is a white button with a black i info icon and black text that reads View Details. Below that is a heading that reads Online Letters of Recommendation and below that is a table with four columns with three examples letteres of recommendation showing different statuses from completed, in progress, and has not started, two have waived their status via FERPa and one has not with the in progress and has no started yet options have an Action Menu button on the far right column.Only the first recommender, highlighted here, has completed their recommendation and successfully submitted it to the school.

Each application you've submitted online recommendation requests for will have its own Online Letters of Recommendation section on your Activity Page showing the recommendation statuses. You can see this by logging into your Activity Page.

A recommendation that has been submitted will be marked “Completed” and this status updates in real time. Even if your recommender has finished filling out the form, unless you see a completed status, the recommendation has not yet been successfully submitted to the school. If your recommendation isn't marked as completed, you'll need to have your recommender log back in and try submitting once more.

If your recommender needs any assistance with this, they can reach us by submitting a help request and we'll be happy to assist.

Please Note: Our system can only show the status of the online recommendation form. If your recommender submitted their letter directly to the school via mail, email, or an alternate recommendation system, that submission will not be reflected in your Activity page. In that case, we would advise reaching out to Admissions directly to confirm whether your recommendation was received.
